Lumberjack Show: We will be watching the legendary Scheer’s Lumberjack Show. It is always fun and entertaining. After the show, we will stop at Shue’s Pond for a picnic lunch. Your child is responsible for bring his/her own lunch OR you may request a sack lunch be made by the school.
School Forest: We will be planting trees and also going to the school forest where we will break out into a variety of mini-sessions learning about the forest. Johnson Timber will be generously donating a free lunch (hot dogs, chips, juice or water, veggies, and dessert) for all students and staff attending. What a treat?! This opportunity is put on by Johnson Timber, the WI DNR, Steigerwaldt Land Services and many other volunteers willing to give their time to educate our youth free of charge. We are very thankful for this experience!
Pioneer Village: We will be visiting the Barron County Historical Society’s Pioneer Village Museum. Your child is responsible for bringing their own lunch OR you may request a sack lunch from the school.
Instead of asking you 3 separate times for money, we have decided to request/give an option that you send the total amount for your student all at once. We would like the money turned in to your student’s teacher on or before Friday, April 22nd. This will give us plenty of time to get the money to the right people and assure everything is taken care of on our end. If you have any questions/concerns please contact your child’s teacher. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We hope these field trips will provide fun and exciting learning experiences for all.
Sincerely,
The 4th Grade Team
