There has been as school calendar change. Please remember that school WILL BE in session on April 17th and April 21st. These are NO LONGER vacation days due to the number of inclement weather days we have had so far. The window for open enrollment is now open. If you know of someone interested in open enrollment please have them call the central office at (715) 638-9001. We have had an unusually high number of students that are leaving before the end of the school day. Please know that learning takes place throughout the entire day and leaving early is a disruption to the entire class. We understand appointments are sometimes necessary but please schedule them outside of the school day whenever possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this. Feel free to call our office if you have any questions. We are looking forward to a marvelous March!

Just a reminder to you and your students that Jump Rope For Hearts is tomorrow. The students MUST bring in their money/envelopes as I will be collecting them right away in the morning to ensure they all get to the PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) when the students do their  "Jumping Like a Cane."  Thanks for your help and any donations that you may have collected. This is a great cause. :)

Please remember that we have Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight form 3:45-7:00pm. If you signed up for a time slot tonight please be there. We will try our hardest to stay on schedule. Thanks! :)

The Happenings in Room 406 Hello Parents and Guardians!! As February begins we have been very busy in room 406.      In ELA we have begun out third unit called "Animals are Charactes, too!" We are talking about personification (giving human characteristics to non-human things). We read the book The Mouse and The Motorcycle and have spent this last week working with Aesop's Fables. The students have read The Lion and The Mouse as well as many others. Their assignment was to pair up with a partner, choose their favorite fable, create puppets and act out the fable for the other students. Then the class had to guess what the moral or lesson of the fable was. They had a lot of fun with this and the play-acting turned out really great! We will be begin reading another book Because of Win Dixie next week sometime. We are also going to be doing a research project where the students will pick an animal and write a report on that animal.  In math we have finished ou...

  Your students have brought home a Jump Rope for Hearts Fundraiser Form to raise money for the American Heart Association. The amount of money that your student raises will be given to the foundation.  On February 6th, 2014 we will not have Prime Time because we have a scheduled time to jump rope to bring awareness to our community about heart health.  You student should have their money raised by that day. Depending on how much money they do raise they will receive a prize of some sort.  It is a great cause and I encourage you and your family to take part in a great event as many of our local community members have suffered from an unhealthy heart. 

There will be Parent/ Teacher Conferences on   Monday, February 10th, 2014    and  Wednesday, February 12th, 2014 You have scheduled an appointment time with me. Please be sure to be on time as it is hard to catch up when we run late. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you for some reason can not make the appointment time you have scheduled with me, please call or email me as soon as possible to reschedule a time. Time slots are very limited due to the amount of students I need to see. Your student is welcome to come with and I actually encourage this so they are involved and taking control of their learning on their own. :) There will be a Book Fair Monday, February 10th through Friday, February 14th  Ms. Kelsey's class is schedule to go on Tuesday, February 11th @ 9:30-10:00 .
