Unfortunately (as I am sure you have noticed) the weather has taken an unpleasant turn of events. Please be mindful of this. WE GO OUTSIDE EVERY DAY THAT WE CAN WEATHER PERMITTING for 30 minutes (i.e. snow, rain, etc.). That means your child may be outside without his or her coat or other warm belongings if they fail to bring the proper clothing. Please send them with a jacket or even a sweatshirt at the very least. They may keep it in their locker or on the back of their chair if they do not need it. It is easier to take a piece of clothing off than to try to put something on they do not have. It is expected that they students go outside and is a great way for them to exercise and "blow the stink" off! Thank you!

We have learned about reading to someone and reading to self for our Daily 5 and also have learned about our expectations for 1st grade writing and 1st grade pictures for Writer's Workshop.
