Dear Families,
On Wednesday, October 29th, 2014 our 4th grade students will be taking the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examination (WKCE). The students will be tested in the areas of Science and Social Studies ONLY. All students in grade 3-5 will be tested in English/Language Arts and Math in the spring using the brand new Smarter Balanced Assessment. You will hear more about that later in the school year!
We are taking the steps below to help our students do their very best:
*Our PAC is providing bottled water and a small snack for each 4th grade student.
*We will be giving out students extra exercise and movement breaks.
*We will encourage and support our students throughout this process.
Below you will find some suggestions on how you can help your child:
**Have your child in school and on time...testing will start promptly at 9:00am.
**Be sure you child gets plenty of sleep for several nights before testing.
**Encourage your child to exercise as this can greatly reduce stress and increase clear thinking.
**Provide a healthy breakfast for your child.
**Be supportive and encourage your child to do their best.
Thank you so much for helping your child.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns.
